Gregory A. Taggart, MD

Dr. Taggart graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, majoring in Zoology. He then attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School where he received the Highest Recommendation from the Dean of Students. He stayed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center for his Orthopedic Surgery Residency and then performed a Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Taggart practiced in New Haven, CT as a partner with the Center For Orthopedics and held a faculty position at Yale University School of Medicine as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. He then moved to Worcester, Massachusetts to become Assistant Professor and Chief , Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Department of Orthopedics and Physical Rehabilitation at the Umass/Memorial Medical Center.

Dr. Taggart served in the United States Army Reserve for 15 years and achieved the rank of Major. During his commission, he was deployed to Bosnia, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He received multiple awards and commendations and was Honorably Discharged in 5/05.

Dr. Taggart joined the Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver in April of 2006 and specializes in treatment of foot and ankle disorders. This includes sports and accident related injuries, arthritis, fractures, rheumatologic and diabetic conditions, and problems related to the toes including bunions and hammertoes. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Taggart and his wife live in Denver with their three children. They enjoy skiing, hiking, and baseball in their spare time.
