John Shank, M.D.

Dr. Shank earned his undergraduate degree at Xavier Univerisity and his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Colorado. Thereafter Dr. Shank completed two fellowships, the first in Foot & Ankle reconstruction at Harvorview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, the second in sports medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas.

Dr. Shank’s areas of interest include complex lower extremity fracture care, ankle arthroscopy, periarticular osteotomies, lower extremity reconstruction and total ankle arthroplasty. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Shank has presented at numerous conferences.

Dr. Shank serves as a consultant for the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
