Class of 2009-2010
Daniel Hamman, MD
Originally from Denver, Dr. Hamman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. He then returned to Colorado for medical school at the University of Colorado where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. During residency his interest in ACL reconstruction led him to co-author book chapters on allograft tissue techniques. His current research is focused on the biomechanics of clavicle fracture fixation constructs, and he was the recipient of the resident research award.
Clinically, his goal is to personalize and optimize operative and non-operative methods of treatment to enable each patient to achieve their ultimate potential.
He returns home to Denver with his wife Alyssa. During their free time they enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, boating and relaxing with their friends and families.
Jamie Genuario, MD, MS
Dr. Genuario, a native of Colorado, began his love of sports medicine while participating in athletics at the great University of Notre Dame. There he earned a BS in biology and a minor in Anthropology, but most importantly met the love of his life, Kristy. Together, they journeyed to Chicago where he secured a medical doctorate while graduating AOA from Northwestern. They continued their travels east to Dartmouth to pursue an orthopaedic surgery residency. While at Dartmouth, both his degrees and his family expanded as he earned a master focusing on health policy while spending a year involved in the prestigious American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery's Health Policy Fellowship.
Dr. Genuario and his family of five return to Colorado excited to apply his field of expertise in health policy and cost effectiveness to the field of sports medicine during this time of rapid change in the health care environment.
